From the Navigator
Overnight Sun Princess followed an east south-easterly
course across the Gulf of Alaska which we will maintain throughout the day as
we proceed towards our next port of call, Icy Strait Point. The Gulf of Alaska
is an arm of the Pacific Ocean defined by the curve of the southern coast of
Alaska, stretching from the Alaska Peninsular and Kodiak Island in the west to
the Alexander Archipelago in the east where Glacier Bay and the Inside Passage
are found.
We slept in this morning and missed the port talk about
Victoria. It does not matter a great deal because we have been there a number
of times and also the talk is repeated on our cabin TV later. Not really much
to report today because we had a lazy day. This evening we went to see Instrumentalist
Antonio Salci in the Princess Theatre he was so good that we bought his CD.
