Bora Bora Overcast with some rain. Temp 30c

From the Navigator.

In the early morning, Sun Princess will make her approach to Bora Bora, French Polynesia. We will approach the port entrance from the north north - west, proceeding to our designated anchorage position. Once the anchor is brought up, we will commence our ship’s continuous tender service.

As this is another port we have previously visited and done a ship’s tour this time we just leisurely went ashore and walked around the town which is where the tender drops you. While we were there it rained for a while but it did not inconvenience us as we sheltered in one of the many shops. There is a Catholic Church nearby which we visited because it has a stained glass window above the alter where not all the glass is stained and the mountain at the rear can be seen through it. This makes a very nice photo which will now be in our collection. We returned to the ship for lunch as did a lot of passengers. Most of the passengers are well travelled and would have been here before. We spent a quiet afternoon on board and we sailed at 5.30pm just as we went to dinner. Our evening entertainment was to listen to vocalist Andrew Geater. Andrew is actually the lead singer in the production group but this time he was doing a show on his own and it was quite good.

We are now on our way to New Zealand and as always happens the trade winds blow and we have plenty of motion of the ocean.
