19th August 2016

Sea Day Sunny Temp 29c Lumpy Sea with medium swell.

We missed Doug Pearsons port talk on Papeete today because we were late getting up, however we can see the recording on our cabin TV. I went to Geoff Gray’s lecture “Is Australia the Regional Sheriff” which as usual was informative and interesting as he discussed the activities we have been involved in and continue to be involved in the region. Betty went to “Healing with Herbs” talk but says she did not learn anything; they were just selling their products. The Movie of the Day if anyone is interested was “Moulin Rouge” starring Nicole Kidman. Just a quiet afternoon catching up on emails etc and putting photos onto computer. It was a formal night tonight so most people dressed up. We went to a couple of shows tonight. The first was to listen to singer Jamie Clarke who is actually part of the Cruise Director’s staff. He is very good, this is the second time we have seen him and we hope he is on again. He apparently was a professional singer but had some throat problems. The second was by the Production Company in the show “Country Jam” another good one.
