Sea Day Medium Swell Causing Motion of the Ocean. Temp 27c
still warm even though we are south of the Tropic of Capricorn.
Geoff’s lecture this morning was entitled “Is The Financial
Crisis Over” I think he is good on history and politics but I doubt his knowledge
of finance, in any case I did not want to be depressed so I did not go. Instead
we both spent sometime in the lounge on deck 5 where the motion is not so
noticeable and where we can get coffee. I am writing this part of this blog
while down there. There was British Pub Lunch in the Marquis Dining Room to day
which most in our group attended. Some of us were hanging out for some good
Fish & Chips and Norine had a Pie both came with mussy peas. If you could
fit it in there was Bread & Butter pudding for dessert. In the afternoon
there was an Afternoon Tea Dance to the music of the big band which we went to.
Needless to say with so much food during the day we only had a light dinner.
After dinner we went to the Princess Theatre where Ashley Carruthers was
playing the piano with the Sun Princess Band. Ashley holds the Guiness Book of
Record for the fastest piano key player. To get the record you only have to
play one note but do it very fast. Apart from being this record holder Ashley,
is a very good player and we enjoyed his show.
