8th July

Sea Day Slight Sea Temp 30c

From the Navigator.

Sun Princess will continue on her north-easterly heading throughout the day as we traverse the Yellow Sea. The Yellow Sea is named so due to sand deposits from sandstorms originating in the Gobi Desert which gives the surface water a golden yellow hue. It is also one of Four Seas named after a common colour, the other three being the Red Sea, the Black Sea and the White Sea.

I was awake early this morning so that I could try to get onto the ANZ site but still no success so I decided to phone them. On ship to shore it costs $4.95 per minute, I tried to call on our cabin phone but could not get a connection. Some was looking after me again because I then went down to the Customer Services office and the lady there got the number for me and up until now we have not been charged for the call, which I am glad because in typical fashion I was kept on hold for a while. The lady at ANZ has now taken the ANZ Shield off our account so all should be good. However, I have not been able to confirm because the internet connection on the ship is down, I will also not be able to send this blog. While I have been fiddling with the internet Betty has been to “New Look, New You” where the international hairstylist onboard helps you discover the perfect hairstyle for you. I expected her to come back looking different but she came back looking as good as ever. Bev did win a hair treatment in the free raffle.

As I have said the internet is down and there is already a notice in the computer room that it will be down between Midnight tonight and 5 am tomorrow morning. Let’s hope they improve on what we have had up to date.

Tonight we went to the second and final performance of Annie Frances as she leaves us tomorrow in Incheon, while she sang fine, the songs she chose were not as good as her first performance. It’s early to bed tonight as you have to be up early tomorrow for a face to face inspection by the Korean Immigration dept. before going on our tour. Our time is 7.35am.
